OH-003: DEAD FOR MAYDAY
Emerging metal outfit Ferrux have officially launched their debut single, "Dead for Mayday".
Describing the release, vocalist J.L. Barsellotti writes: "Dead for Mayday is a song about the eventual heat death of the universe. Taking inspiration from Metalcore titans like Killswitch Engage, Ferrux made a song tackling the hopelessness of death, and the temporary nature of the world we live in, in a progressive style that incorporates multiple genres of metal as well as aspects of blues."
Recorded at the Warwick Arts Centre, the track showcases a massive, expansive soundscape. Ferrux leans into a grim energy that mirrors a fading sun, anchoring technical metalcore with a gritty, soulful foundation.
“Dead for Mayday” is available on all streaming platforms.
