OH-008: RUSCOE - TWO SHEPHERDS

Independent musician and producer Ruscoe has officially announced his debut studio album, Two Shepherds, heralded by the release of its captivating lead single, Guru. Born out of the media department of the University of Warwick, Two Shepherds is a highly conceptual indie rock project that pulls double duty as Ruscoe's undergraduate dissertation. 

Entirely composed, recorded, and produced by Ruscoe from his bedroom studio, the album functions as an auditory exploration of a question many face but few can articulate: How can music help us process the heaviest of human emotions?

The lead single, Guru, sets the stage for the record. The track was inspired by the opening tale of a guru and his disciple mentioned in The Afterlife Experiments by Gary E. Schwartz.

Woven into the tracklist are intimate interview snippets from Ruscoe's close friends and parents, meditating on morality, religon, and loss.

Two Shepherds is an invitation for the guarded to open up, the grieving to find sanctuary, and the listener to feel less alone in the dark.

OH-002: GURU

Emerging from the halls of Warwick's media department, Guru is the first single from indie rock singer-songwriter Ruscoe's upcoming debut album: "Two Shepherds".

Recorded in his bedroom, this single is the first of many going towards his dissertation.

About the song, Ruscoe writes: "I came about writing it through the opening tale of a Guru and his disciple mentioned in the book The Afterlife Experiments by Gary E Schwartz, a heavy inspiration on the contents within Two Shepherds."

"I'm determined to honour the ones I love and loved through my music. My passion lies in curating love and abundance for anyone to share and connect with", he continues. "I’m also trying to answer the question of ‘how music can ‘help’ or benefit the processing of emotions’ and this album is a big piece of that puzzle."
